David A. Goddard, Sr Mar. 12, 1940 - Mar. 20, 2015 JEWETT CITY - David A. Goddard, Sr., age 75, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Born on March 12, 1940 in Hanover, NH, he was the son of the late Bruce Goddard and Shirley (Williams) Goddard. He was married to Frances (Moore) Goddard-Gluck for 46 years. She survives him. An outdoorsmen, David was an avid hunter and enjoyed salt water fishing, fur trapping, and turtle trapping. He was an active member of the National Rifle Association, Fin Fur and Feather Club, and Norwich Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his son, David A. Goddard, Jr. of Griswold; daughters, Cindy Zatorski of Hudson, FL and Sheri Roy of Sedgwick, ME; stepson, Timothy Gluck of Plainfield; brothers, Stanley Goddard of Deerfield, NH and Kerry Goddard of Griswold; sister, Carol Seslow of FL, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Eddie Goddard. Family will receive family and friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Plainfield Rd, Plainfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to St. Vincent de Paul Place, 120 Cliff St., Norwich, CT 06360.
