George Zimmermann was a great man. Gentle, kind, quick with a quip, generous with his time and skills, always ready to help. We'll always remember that he had amazing hands; strong, weathered, capable. Hands that had built, sanded, stained, shaped, molded and loved, all with equal capacity. We'll miss his always sunny disposition and his peaceful nature. He shall be missed thoroughly by one and all. Rest in peace dear George.

I share a great love for George with so many others. He was a great conversationalist, a snappy dresser who knew how to mix his patterns and always interested and engaged; ready with the helpful tip or comment no matter the subject. This "kid" will miss him.

George was a great neighbor to have over the years that we have lived here in Putnam. His wit has always kept me on my toes. his routine walks down Hurry Hill was always a pleasure to stop and talk about the latest happenings going on. He will surely be missed by all. What a great neighbor was he to all of us. He will certainly be missed by all of us. God bless Betty and her wonderful family.

Our deepest Sympathy. We will miss George's daily greeting and boundless energy. He was an inspiration to the neighborhood. A charming man, intelligent, and never without a line to make laughter and smiles. Barbara and Robert Craig
