Jeff Pepin

Jeff Pepin June 18, 1962 - April 11, 2011 Franklin Jeffrey David Pepin, 48 of Franklin, died April 11, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at his home. Jeff was born June 18, 1962, in Norwich, Connecticut to Roland and Anna (Maruzo) Pepin. He graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1980 and continued his education at Thames Valley Technical College, graduating in 1982. Jeff was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bozrah. He was employed for 26 years at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division as a Senior Designer Specialist and was a member of the Marine Draftsmen's Association (MDA). He enjoyed playing golf with his father, watching UCONN Mens and Women's basketball and especially Patriots football. Jeff had an incredible sense of humor, ever ready with a joke and loved to have a good time with his family and friends. He was particuarly proud of his cat Katie who was the "Fantastic Felines" winner of the Norwich Bulletin contest last year. He enjoyed gardening and driving his dream car: a 2011 Mustang. He is survived by his mother and father, Anna and Roland Pepin of Bozrah, his sister Judi Pepin of Mason, Ohio, and his sister and brother-in-law Michele and Joseph Ciriello, nephews Joey and Nicholas Ciriello and niece Anna Maria Ciriello of Norwich. Jeff touched many people's lives and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Family and Friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 4 to 8PM at the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home, 82 Cliff St., Norwich. The Funeral will assemble at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 9 A.M. and proceed to a 10.A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Norwich. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Norwich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Patrick Cathedral School (211 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360) or Vitas Hospice (628 Hebron Ave., Suite 300, Glastonbury, CT 06033) who cared for Jeffrey in his last days.
