John Vanwagner Obituary
JEWETT CITY – John M. VanWagner Jr., 63, of Jewett City died Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born May 14, 1954 in Saratoga Springs, NY son of John M. VanWagner Sr. and Marion (Cote) VanWagner.
John is survived by his beloved son Darrell VanWagner and Courtney of Norwich, CT; sister Rebecca Hopps and her husband Howard Hopps of Oneco; sister Dianne Lenti of Manchester, CT; two grandchildren, niece, nephew, five great-nieces and a great-nephew.
A special thank you to the nurses at the Norwich Ambulatory Medical Center (AMC) who became a second family to John. Thank you also to the doctors and nurses at Backus Hospital who were so kind to him.
Private arrangements will be made by the family.

The last time I remember seeing John he was about 5 or 6 years old. His mom is my Aunt Margie. May he rest in the peace of our Lord.

I did not know my first cousin, John. I knew his mother, my Dad's sister as well as John's two sisters. May he rest in peace.
