Thank you for allowing me to share this memory.
I first saw the sisters' bracelets in an In-Style magazine. Being an accessory junkie, I immediately googled the company and found the website, name, and number. I do not remember exactly why, but I called the company, and Lisa answered the phone. We spoke for a few minutes, and I was thrilled that the "one of the owners" of the company was kind enough to take time to speak with me and find out a little about me.
In the last ten or so years, I have collected too many bracelets to count. I wear the bracelets in sets and individually. They bring me great joy.
I am profoundly sorry for your loss and for the loss of a true creative. Had we lived closer, I know that your sister and I might have been friends.
I will think of Lisa when I wear my bracelets.
Fondly,
Dr. Candace Brown Adams

My heart is breaking for Lisa's children and family. I first met Lisa in high school. Later on, when I was in grad school, I came upon a scholarly article she had written for her PhD and we reconnected based on a mutual love of literature and writing. What a kind, compassionate, and thoughtful woman!

I reconnected with Lisa a short time ago at a reunion of sorts at a mutual friends. I was told she was battling this horrible disease but I was taken by her optimism and warmth for every one that was there. She was always beautiful inside and out and that's how I'll remember her. My sympathies to the entire Sisco family and her closest friends.

"Most people think an exceptional existence is filled with game changing events. But true fulfillment comes from appreciating day-to-day interactions and conversations." author Ruth Reichl
Although I didn't have the privilege of day-to-day interactions with Lisa, I will cherish the conversations we did have because of the way I always felt in her presence. She was warm and wise and always fun and when the family got together you knew the day would be meaningful and happy and the food was guaranteed delicious because Lisa had her helping hands in all of it!!
We are sad and already feeling a profound loss but will try to always dwell on how fortunate we were to have her in our lives for the time that we did. Her children are a testament to the loving mother she was, her siblings and friends will be forever impacted by having her in their lives and we will all love her always.
