Lucille Jordan Obituary
WATERFORD - Lucille Jordan 87, of Waterford died Tuesday October 9, 2018 at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London with her family by her side. She was born in Norwich on July 8, 1931 the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Rowe) Barber. Lucille was a food service worker having worked at the former Fred's News in Baltic, at the Submarine Base in Groton and was last employed as an aide at Wequonnoc School in Taftville (known as Grandma Lou) before retiring. On July 4, 1972 she married David E. Jordan in Norwich, who died on July 22, 2004. She is survived by five sons: John Stone, Everett Ferguson, Ralph Stone, Kenneth Stone and Fred Stone, two daughters: Marie Riley and Paula Stone, 25 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two great grandchildren, one son-in-law and two daughter-in-laws.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 18th at 11:00 A.M. at Lovett Cemetery in Sprague, meeting directly at the Cemetery. Calling hours at the Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South B Street, Taftville will be Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
