Wow, its been a year, how time just goes by, been doing a job you loved for a year now, it is tough filling those shoes that you filled and I enjoy it knowing you cheer me on each day, I sure hope your enjoying yourself and a shot for me, for I will always think of you and all the things you did you make me a better person, love and miss you so much.

Mike, Wow, where does time go? it just passes us by, folks come and go and some you never forget, well your one of those people. As I set up events and think would Daddy do it this way? would he approve, it always seems to come together one way or other, Iam glad to have you watching over me from above, rather have you here but that can't happen so I will accept what I can have, I love the talks we had, the tears I have shed and know you are missed and thought of everyday buddy.

Heartfelt thanks for sharing the amazing pictures of the scattering of Mike's remains in Provincetown. Iam sure Mike would be pleased that he is part of one of Nature's most beautiful spots on the Cape. Mike's birthday April 25th will be filled with many memories. My favorite,is the phone call i received from him informing me he had beenchosen to give the opening comments,at the Relay for Life Cancer Walk. How excited he was!!! A well deserved honor.We are also rembering at this time the 5th Anniversary of Mike's Dad "Al"passing. We are all blessed to have Mike and Al watching over us!!.

Mike...attended your services yesterday and I learned a lot about you...especially how much your family and friends love and respect you. You enter our lives years ago when you were in RI with David. Then you moved on and re-entered when you became part of Todd's life. Thanks for all you did....your brave fight with cancer is an inspiration to us all!

Todd, I had the privilege to meet both you and Mike recently. As a nurse, I see so many people and can tell you that the first time I met Mike I could tell he was very special. I had the opportunity to see him one more time and will never forget our conversation. His words were so inspiring. As a nurse, my job is to help and to teach. Please know that both you and Mike taught me so much about life in our two short visits. There are some people that touch your heart. Mike was one of them and I will never forget him. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

In everybody's life, if you are lucky you meet a person like "Daddy" Mike Deely. My first impression of him was that of a "loud mouthed Irishman from Boston". That impression changed 5 minutes after meeting him. Mike always seemed to be inside my head, always encouraging me, pushing me to be the best I could be. When times were dark and I felt scared and alone, it was his voice that made me pick myself up and go on. About 6 months after he was diagnosed he told me he wouldn't leave until he knew I was settled and happy with someone. Well almost exactly 12 hours to the minute after he died I met someone that is turning out to be very special to me. Daddy Mike kept his word to me, even if he did it from above. I am truly blessed and fortunate to have known him.

Todd, Mike was loved by all the lives that he touched and one in special was yours. I know that he will be missed very much by me and Russell aka (Giggles). Mike had a way of given names to peolpe and to this day they still stay with them.

I first met Daddy online who urged me to get back out to The Alley on a night of Ursamen. He was incredily kind and introduced me to Todd and was just so carefree and loving. It really is hard to think of him being gone. I just saw him at Bear Week! Ugh.... I am very glad to have known him. I miss you so much, Daddy Mike!

Todd: I first met Mike when he lived in the Boston area ... many years ago. As always with him, an immediate rapport developed and continued to exist throughout the years. Mike always displayed an innate ability to reach to the heart of people; through his wit and impish smile. I had the opportunity to run into him in Providence in June and I will forever thank God for that encounter. To say that he was an amazing man and a good friend is an understatement. The first time I met Mike, he came to dinner with some of the Ursamen. I immediately took a liking to Mike -- he was a special soul. Sincere condolences to Todd and Mike's family. Mike will be sorely missed. The sadness is for those who will never have the chance to have known him. Mike's life was a gift to everyone who knew him. May we all find comfort and strength in the love that surrounds Mike and cherish the warm memories that remain. The little time I knew Mike I could see he was able to seize the moments in life and make them his own.
