Norbert Roland Gauthier Nov. 30,1933 - Nov. 18, 2014 CHESTER, VT. - Norbert Roland Gauthier died Tuesday November 18, 2014 at his home in Chester, VT. Norbert was born to the late Roland and Josephine (Lavallee)Gauthier on November 30,1933 in Willimantic. For many years he was a poultry farmer. Additionally, he was employed at Pratt & Whitney, Crossen Builders and Ralston Purina. Later,he became a Trager Practioner, before moving to Chester, VT., where he was an Inn keeper and carpenter. In his later years, hobbies included raising pigs, chickens and playing cards. He was predeceased by his parents and his infant sister, Claire. He leaves behind his wife, Catherine Hasbrock of Chester, three children; Norbert Gauthier of North Windham, Deborah Silliman and her husband Frederick and Susan Ouellet and her husband David, all of Chaplin, and their mother, Cecile Gauthier Sutcliffe of Lisbon. He also leaves eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many dear friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Chester-Andover Family Center PO Box 302 Chester, VT. 05143 or Hospice VNH PO Box 976 White River Junction, VT. 05001-0976. There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, November 30,2014 at the Chaplin Fire Station on Rte 198, beginning at 1:00 P.M.
