Sonia Gamble Obituary
Preston - Sonia L. Gamble, 52, of Preston passed away after a brief and sudden illness on January 1, 2017 at Hartford Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1964, in Fresno, CA a daughter to Sylvia Mattingly and the late John Eggleston. She is married to John Gamble who survives her.
Sonia worked for over 20 years as a paralegal before starting her own business making crafts. She was very active within the community and served as a coach for Brooklyn Little League, an Asst. Dist. Administrator for Little League District 11 and assisted with training exercises for various emergency management service classes. Sonia was also actively involved in the Killingly H.S Marching band as a "band mom" and fund raising coordinator. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her mother Sylvia Mattingly and Father William Mattingly; daughter Cynthia Klemm and fiancé Jeff Stone; son Jeremy Klemm and wife Karina; step son Peter Gamble and fiancée Meghan Mizak; brothers John, Rusty and Michael Mattingly; sisters Monica Hollis and Stacy Mattingly; grandmother Esther Garcia; grandchildren Cailynn Klemm, Olivia Stone and Lily Klemm, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00PM Friday at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT. Burial, within the Holy Cross Cemetery in Danielson will be private and at the convenience of the family. For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com.
