Veronica Woyasz Oct. 2, 1920 - Nov. 1, 2014 NORWICH - Veronica Woyasz, 94, a longtime resident of Norwich, died peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. Born on October 2, 1920 in Moosup, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Antonina (Kalita) Woyasz. For thirty seven years she worked at the Norwich Savings Society. She was the branch manager in Gale Ferry for several years and retired in 1982 as an assistant secretary and an officer of the bank. She was a member of the AARP – Chapter 3636 for many years and had been a faithful parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Norwich. She was always supportive of the church and was a member of the 0-50 Club. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Living Center for the excellent care they provided. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, November 4, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Ave, Norwich from 8:15 to 9:15 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Burial will follow in All Hallows Cemetery, Moosup. Donations in her memory may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT 06360.
