Lois Elaine Anway

Lois Elaine Anway, 83, passed away at North Platte Care Center on Feb. 27, 2024. She was born on April 28, 1940, to Lester G. and Vada I. (Harvey) Anway in McPherson County near Tryon. Lois' family moved around to various places. She graduated grade school from District #12 in Arthur County. Lois attended McPherson County High School and graduated on May 16, 1957. Lois and her mother worked at the café in Tryon and helped serve food at the Tryon sale barn. She helped paint houses and Lois and her brother worked in the hay fields in the summertime. Lois helped her Grandpa Harvey with his business and sold Tupperware and Beeline clothes. She worked at the Pawnee Retirement Hotel as a kitchen manager until she retired. Lois enjoyed watching Nebraska Cornhusker football and volleyball and also enjoyed playing Bingo. She collected stuffed Dalmatians. Lois is survived by her brother, Leslie (Beverly) Anway of North Platte; and numerous other family members and friends. Memorials are suggested to Pawsitive Partners. Visitation is from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
