Matthew Eugene Konruff, son of Ron and Terry(McQuilkin) Konruff was born June 12th, 1988 in North Platte Nebraska. Matthew attended Catholic School in North Platte and public schools in North Platte and Mitchell Nebraska. Matthew would say that he had many adventures. We say Matthew was larger than life. Matthew completed a 5-year steamfitter apprenticeship becoming a steamfitter journeyman. Matthew took great pride in belonging to the Steamfitters Local Union 464 in Omaha. Matthew enjoyed the outdoors. He loved catching frogs and exploring the outdoors with his kids, fishing with his brother Jason, golfing with his brother Blake and his friends, cooking, drinking expensive scotch with his dad, and exploring life. He had a zeal for life and could always be counted on for an outlandish story, a little sarcasm and a lot of laughter. Matthew loved his children, his family and his friends.

On Friday March 7th, 2025 Matthew died unexpectedly at University Medical Center in Omaha. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ronald and Helen Konruff and Joe Smith. Those left to mourn his passing include his son, Logan of Auburn, his daughter, Ophelia and stepdaughter Olive of Omaha, the women that he loved, Amanda, Rachel and Stephanie, father Ron(Kandy)Konruff of North Platte, mother Terri (Jake) Smith of Johnson, brother Jason(Kylie) Konruff and their children, step brother Blake(Auriel) Hendrickson and their children, Ryan(Annie) Smith and their children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 13th 2025 at New Life Church in Auburn with the burial at Lafayette Cemetery at Brock, Ne.
