CARRIER MILLS, Ill. - Michael Houser, 45, of Carrier Mills, Ill., formerly of Sutherland, died Nov. 22, 2008, at his residence.

He was born on April 3, 1963, in Sutherland to Martin and Lois Lavaley Houser. He was a cable technician of Galaxy Cable. He was a member of the Carrier Mills Fire Department, the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills and was active in the Carrier Mills Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Houser of Carrier Mills, Ill.; his parents, Martin and Lois Houser of Newburgh, Ind.; three children, David (Becka) Houser of Harrisburg, Ill., Nichole Houser and Nathan Houser both of Carrier Mills; a brother, Trent Houser of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Shelly (Ross) Bond of Evansville; two nephews, Maurice and Austin Embry of Evansville; mother and father-in-law, Zada and George Turner of Galatia.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Carrier Mills Fire Department or to the family and may be left at Felty Funeral Home P.C., 410 Oak Street, Carrier Mills, IL 62917.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Joey Dunning officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
