Scott Murrish Obituary

Scott D. Murrish, 53, of North Platte, passed away Nov. 9, 2011, at Steamboat Springs, Colo.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1958, to Russell and Deanna (Daake) Murrish in Kearney. Scott was raised in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1977.
On Aug. 13, 1977, he was united in marriage to Julie Christiansen.
He was employed at the Union Pacific Railroad, City of North Platte, and N.P.P.D.
Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing and most importantly his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; children, Jacque (Adam) Hotz, of Omaha, Jeremy (Janele) Murrish and Jason (Crista) Murrish, all of North Platte; his grandmother, Florine Daake; two brothers, Jeff (Julie) Murrish, of North Platte, and Rob (Renee) Murrish, of Mandan, N.D.; two sisters, Kim (Calvin) Bullinger and Krystal (Tim) Kiedel, all of Mandan, N.D.; two granddaughters, Rylee and Allie Murrish; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Outdoor Buddies Program or the Callahan Cancer Center. Online condolences may be shared at carpentermemorial.com.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14,
at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be from
1-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Following the funeral services, cremation was chosen.
Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

I just heard about scott through a friend in north platte. He was one of my most favorite people in high school. I remember camping and fishing with the family and taking a trip to sumner nebraska together where we both had relatives. Julie and family I am so so sorry for ur loss.
