Ann Cornelia Lake Plauger, 84, of Strasburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her residence.

A memorial service for Ann will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steven Guizar officiating. Mrs. Plauger's family will lay her to rest privately. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Ann was born in Winchester, VA, on March 2, 1938, to the late Cletus Franklin and Goldie Mae Lake. Ann was raised by her maternal grandmother Nannie Lake. She moved to Strasburg from Front Royal, VA, in 1960 and worked as a childcare provider, a seamstress and then a culinary assistant with the Massanutten Military Academy. Ann was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Orville Francis "Bud" Plauger, and they were married 49 years, nine months and one day. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings John Lake, Marshall Lake, Herbert Donnie Lake, Joyce Carper, and Nina Fake.

Survivors include her children Adam Wade Plauger and wife Pam of Winchester, VA, Jeff Plauger and wife Amy of Tecumseh, MI, and Carla Plauger Blakely and husband Jeff of Front Royal, VA; her grandchildren Kyle Plauger, Dylan Plauger, Tiffany Blakely, Stephanie Blakely, Wyatt Blakely, and Hunter Plauger along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
