Bobby Biller Obituary

Bobby Lee Biller touched countless lives with his unwavering dedication to family, community, and sports. His passing on July 6, 2024, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital marked the end of a remarkable journey that began in Mount Jackson, Virginia, on September 19, 1933. Despite his travels, Bobby always found solace in returning to his roots in Shenandoah County.

Bob was the beloved husband of Gloria Biller for 67 years and a cherished father to the late Bobby Jr. and Jerry Biller. His presence will be deeply missed by his six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. After becoming a grandfather, he lovingly embraced the title of "Grandpa Bob," a name that countless children in Shenandoah and Rockingham counties affectionately called him as he became a stand-in grandfather for many.

His commitment to youth extended to pioneering youth baseball in the county during the 1980s, establishing a cherished tradition that continues to impact and inspire future generations. Known throughout Shenandoah County as a coach and mentor, Bob's influence extended well beyond the baseball field. He was a familiar face at Stonewall Jackson High School, where his enthusiastic support for their sports programs endeared him to students and staff alike. Besides his dedication to sports, Bob found fulfillment in his woodworking shop, where he meticulously crafted furniture and other pieces that reflected his craftsmanship and passion.

Bobby Lee Biller was the youngest and last surviving child of Lula Catherine and B. K. Biller. He was preceded in death by his son Bobby Jr., his parents, and his siblings Cecil, Elwood, Eugene, Charles, Melvin, and Francis.
