Damian Fedoryka Obituary
Damian Paul Fedoryka, aged 81, passed from this life in his home in Front Royal, Virginia on July 26, 2022.
He was predeceased by his parents Osyp and Stephania (nee Tysovych) Fedoryka, his wife Irene (nee Kondra), and his younger brothers Roman and Leo. He is survived by his sister Marta; his ten children and their spouses (whom he treated as his own): Kateryna Cuddeback (Kevin), Teresa Fedoryka, Maria Schoeman (Roy), Sofia Cuddeback (John), Damian Bodhan Fedoryka (Katherine), Alexander Fedoryka (Catherine), Halyna Kay (Sean), Danylo Fedoryka (Therese), Larissa Fedoryka, and Melanie Schmiedicke (Jacob); thirty-five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and thousands of former students.
Funeral Wednesday August 3 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Front Royal, Virginia. Rosary at 1:15pm, Divine Liturgy at 2pm. Burial and reception to follow.

I warmly remember visiting Damian and Irene and several of their children years ago when Damian was President of the College. It was an enthusiastic and enjoyable visit. I think that I had a girlfried, Ann Maria, with me. What a trail Damian blazed from his days at Regis onward. You who remain have so much to celebrate! Pray for me, his classmate. Thanks for being the family that you are.

Damian was an amazing individual. I came to know him through the Front Royal Rotary Club. It was from him that I learned of the Ukranian Resistance movement which began in 1920 and how, post-WWII he came to the US with his parents to maintain that effort with his wife and children.
When the Sovet Union collapsed, he returned to Ukraine. When back in the States, he talked about the work that was required for Ukraine to reach its potential.
No doubt, current events added stress.
I thought he might have been in Lviv, Ukraine. That question was answered in today's Northern Virginia Daily.
The Feoryka Family brought a lot to Front Royal and Warren County. I'm thankful I was able to know Damian just a bit.
