I warmly remember visiting Damian and Irene and several of their children years ago when Damian was President of the College. It was an enthusiastic and enjoyable visit. I think that I had a girlfried, Ann Maria, with me. What a trail Damian blazed from his days at Regis onward. You who remain have so much to celebrate! Pray for me, his classmate. Thanks for being the family that you are.

Damian was an amazing individual. I came to know him through the Front Royal Rotary Club. It was from him that I learned of the Ukranian Resistance movement which began in 1920 and how, post-WWII he came to the US with his parents to maintain that effort with his wife and children. When the Sovet Union collapsed, he returned to Ukraine. When back in the States, he talked about the work that was required for Ukraine to reach its potential. No doubt, current events added stress.
