Diane Spriggs Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, at 3 pm at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. Sammy Campbell will be officiating the service. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
Diane was born December 20, 1945, in Arlington, Virginia, the daughter of the late Aaron and Evelyn Burke Kersey.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Johnson, and her beloved sons, Michael and Wayne "Ricky" Shifflet.
Diane retired from IAC Automotive in Strasburg,Va. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Front Royal, Women of the Moose, and American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She always enjoyed being part of a bowling league, but her greatest joy was planning, hosting, and "feeding" her family and friends, and enjoying the love and companionship of those surrounding her.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Charles E. Spriggs Sr., who has three daughters: "Baby" Stacey Lynne Gallivan and her husband, Kenny, Jaqueline White, and Sherry Branch. A son, Charles E. Spriggs Jr. (Carla), her loving Twin sister Donna Smith, sister Joan Fergus, and brother Dal Kersey. Eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her devoted best friend, Libby Woodard, along with her Poca Bella Farms friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice in her honor.
