A private funeral service was held at the Giffin Funeral Home in Capon Bridge, WV by Rev. Michael Funkhouser. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery in Gore, VA.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Lee. I will miss seeing him at Fairfax County. He was very nice and pleasant to work with.

Lee,
I will really miss you my friend. I just found out the news today. Fairfax County will not be the same without you and that is a fact! I will greatly miss our civil war talks. it's a shame we didn't get to go out relicing like we have always talked about. I will never forget you.

Lee, I really regret I didn't get the opportunity to meet you and get to know you. I think we could have been good friends. I will always keep you in my heart and prayers.
