Dorothy Collins Obituary


Dorothy Dawn "Dot" Fadeley Collins, 97, of Woodstock passed away, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at home. She will be laid to rest at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.

Mrs. Collins was born June 26, 1926, in Quicksburg, VA, to the late Earl and Annie Ruth Fadeley. Dorothy retired as a bookkeeper from Merchant Tire in Manassas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Curtis Collins whom she married on October 16, 1945. She is also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Dot was always one to stand her ground and the only one out of a family of 10 to graduate high school, which was a major accomplishment, especially for a female, during that time.

Dorothy is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
