Fred Kingree Obituary

Fred Delano Kingree, 88, of Edinburg, passed away Monday October 6, 2025, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. A graveside service will be held on Monday October 13, 2025, at 11:00am at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Pastor Katie Gosswein will officiate.

Mr. Kingree was born September 1, 1937, in Edinburg, son of the late Gilbert and Vernie Hottle Kingree. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret "Betty" Malone and brothers, Stanley Kingree, Gilbert "Pete" Kingree and Allen Kingree. He is survived by one brother in-law, Bill Malone and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was a long-time employee of Bowman's Apple Sauce and also worked for the Forestry Department.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 11, Edinburg, Virginia 22824. Online condolences may be left at www.valleyfs.com

Arrangements are in the care of Heishman Funeral Home, Inc., Valley Funeral Service Branch, Edinburg.

I WORKED WITH UNCLE FRED I STARTED WHEN I WAS 9 YRS OLD ON FRIDAY NITES AND SAT. ALL DAY IN THE EGG BUSINESS TILL I WAS 18 YRS. OLD HE WAS ALSO A FRIEND HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL MOM HAS ALL HER BROTHERS HOME AGAIN GOD BLESS US ALL
