Hoover Settle Obituary


Hoover C. "Pete" Settle, Jr., 54, of New Palestine, Indiana, passed away, Saturday, May 9, 2009, in Bloomington, Indiana.

Mr. Settle was born in 1954, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Hoover Cleveland Settle, Sr. and Catherine Lucille Settle. He was a Computer Programmer Analyst for Main Source Bank in Greensburg, Indiana.

Mr. Settle married Vicki L. Bolyard on May 25, 1991 in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with his wife, is a daughter, Cynthia P. "Cindy" Russell and her husband, John, III of Stephens City, Virginia; a son, Andrew G. Settle of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a stepdaughter, Misty Bolyard of Front Royal, Virginia; two step grandchildren, Cody and Heather; a stepson, Gary "Butch" Bolyard of Guam; a brother, Kenneth B. "Sonny" Settle and his wife, Brenda of White Post, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with the Pastor Hartley Wigfield officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be John Russell, Jr., Daniel Settle, Jr., Dennis Settle, and David Settle.

The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
