Janice Koffel Obituary
Janice Marie Carper Koffel, 91, of Edinburg, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at her home. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren in Edinburg. Pastor Deb Horst will officiate. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Koffel was born March 27, 1932, in Edinburg, daughter of the late Lester Franklin Carper and Winifred Marston Carper. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School and member of Wakemans Grove Church. She loved animals and taking care of plants. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Samuel Koffel; sister, Margaret Jeanette Carper; and brother, Wayne Carper.
She is survived by a sister, Carolyn Carper Raynor of Edinburg; brother, Richard Carper of Edinburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wakemans Grove Church, 668 Wakemans Grove Road, Edinburg, VA 22824 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Suite #405, Winchester, VA 22601.
