Phillip Sharp Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church conducted by The Rev. David Sterling, The Rev. Greg Amos, The Rev. Becky Pucher, and The Rev. Butch Hammond. Interment will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Phillip was born April 4, 1987, in Winchester, son of Rufus Michael and Deborah Elliott Sharp of Front Royal.
He attended First Assembly of God Church and the Royal Christian Academy where he was a member of the Royal Rangers.
Surviving with his parents are his brother, James Michael Sharp of Strasburg and his wife, Petra and their two children, Remington and Tyler; and his brother, Matthew Alan Sharp of Front Royal.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest Sharp, Jr. and Ruth F. Sharp; and his maternal grandparents, Russell Thurman and Mary R. Elliott.
Pallbearers will be James Sharp, Matthew Sharp, Andy Henry, Michael Campbell, Brian Berry, and Christopher Smoot.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Smelser, Steve Bradley, Sam Linn, Josh Crewdson, and David Wood.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Maddox Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rivermont Vol. Fire Dept., 714 Rivermont Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630, The Front Royal Vol. Fire and Rescue Dept., P.O. Box 567, Front Royal, VA 22630, or to the University of Virginia Transplant Center, P.O. Box 800191, Charlottesville, VA 22908, Attn: Accounts Payable.

Phillip: I'm going to miss you so much. I know we didn't get to see each other a lot in these past years, but I still felt close to you as always. I remember running around grandma's old house down on the river when we were kids. Such good memories. I remember we were throwing hickory seeds across the fence. I couldn't even make mine near the fence, you could though. Good times..I'll miss you and everyone else will as well. Say hi to Grandma and Grandpa for me and give them a hug.
I wish I could be with everyone at the funeral. I'll be there in spirit. Miss you!
