Richard Buchanan Obituary
Mr. Buchanan was born September 7, 1959, in Shenandoah County, son of the late Richard Lee Buchanan Sr. and Lelia Irene Rush Buchanan White.
He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and worked for Hepner Block for 27 years. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Lee Buchanan of Mt. Jackson; daughter, Amy Catherine Buchanan of Woodstock; two sisters, Carolyn Weatherholtz of Mt. Jackson and Brenda Smootz of Edinburg; two brothers, Joe White of New Market and Brett Buchanan of Woodstock; stepmother, Erma Alkire of Edinburg and stepfather, Larry White of New Market.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, VA. 22601.
