Richard Hockman Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Toms Brook by Rev. Deanna Boynton. Burial will follow at the Toms Brook Cemetery.
Mr. Hockman was born April 14, 1929 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Irene Swartz Hockman.
Mr. Hockman was a member of the Saumsville Men's Club and the St. Peter's Lutheran Church where he severed as the Secretary of the Sunday school and served on the church council.
Mr. Hockman is survived by his wife of 59 years, Delene Hockman of Maurertown; a son, Terry Hockman of Maurertown; and two grandchildren, Cole and Cassie Hockman.
Pallbearers will be Butch Tincher, Timmy French, Toby Markley, Phil Fauber, Andrew Orndorff, and Delmar Vance.
Friends may call at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock to sign the register book Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Toms Brook, Virginia 22660.

I have nothing but good memories of Richard while growing up on the home farm at Zepp 40 to 50 years ago. He was a good friend of my Dad and was also a good man. I am so sorry for your loss.
