Richard Larrick Obituary


Richard L. Larrick, 62, of Bunker Hill, WV, passed away on August 2, 2025, at Reston Hospital following an extended illness.

Richard was a 1980 graduate of James Wood High School, where he was an active member of FFA and 4-H.

He earned his degree from Virginia Tech in 1984. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force/Reserves from 1985 to 1991. Richard was also an active member of his community, serving as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader for Pack 63 and Troop 63 for several years.

A passionate outdoorsman, Richard loved camping, fishing, and spending quality time with his family, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Larrick of Bunker Hill, WV; daughter Laura Larrick Walker (Joey) of Waterford, VA; and son Joshua Larrick of Blacksburg, VA. He is also survived by two stepsons, Christopher Fletcher of Martinsburg, WV, and Andrew Fletcher (Emily) of Martinsburg, WV; his brother Wesley Larrick (Phyllis) of Strasburg, VA; his sister Robin Hylton (Paul) of Leesburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Genieve Baker Larrick and W. Eugene Larrick.

Services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, at 3PM, at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel, in Inwood. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
