Robert Sauls Obituary


Robert Paul Sauls, 80, of Woodstock, died Sunday at his home.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowmans Crossing by Pastor Larry Rinard.

Mr. Sauls was born October 18, 1929, in Buffalo, N.Y., son of the late Paul J. and Martha A. Hoock Sauls. He was the husband of the late Jean W. Sauls. He was a Defense Mapping Agent for the Federal Government and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 199, Woodstock Moose Lodge 575, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, New Market.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; William and Doris Hargis, Jack and Joyce Hargis, Stacey and Jerry Haines, Bill and Sherry Coffey, Bobbi and Harless Coleman, Margaret and Don Irvin, Kitty and Bill Howard.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowmans Crossing.

Bob is the last of a generation in our family. We will miss
his being here. He and Jean were totally devoted to each other. I wish we had heard more stories of their lives.
