Robert Taylor Obituary

Robert Nixon Taylor, Jr., 56, of Front Royal, VA, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, in his home.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church in Front Royal conducted by The Rev. Deborah Rutter.

Mr. Taylor was born Mar. 8, 1951, in Newport News, VA, son of Robert N. Taylor, Sr. of Newport News and the late Clare Cochran Taylor. He was President of E-media in Front Royal and Vice-president in charge of software development with My Team One Call in Troy, OH. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he received a B.A. degree in political science and an M.S. degree in public health. He was a member of the Front Royal Rotary Club and Calvary Episcopal Church. He truly enjoyed all types of music from bluegrass to opera.

He is survived by his wife Linda P. Taylor; his father Robert N. Taylor, Sr. and step-mother Eleanor P. Taylor of Newport News; three step-daughters Kimberly Foster of Virginia Beach, Cyndi C. Maynard of Virginia Beach, and Julia S. Maynard of Boston, MA; a step-son John Mark Maynard of Virginia Beach; a brother James Hamilton Taylor of Milwaukee, WI; a sister Nancy Taylor Williams of Raleigh, NC; and four step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his canine son Jager.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 62, Front Royal, VA 22630 or to Samuels Public Library, 538 Villa Ave., Front Royal, VA 22630.

Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.

we have visited with bob and linda several times over the past years and bob had visited us. he always had a way of looking at life in general that made us laugh . he will truly be missed by ralph and i.
