I knew Roger at JSMA. Although a year behind me, I knew him as a very fine athlete, friend, and all around nice person. He had a friendly demeanor as well as a humorous side that often was very subtle. On the football team, he threw me the longest catch of my high school career in a win against Huguenot Academy. He excelled in a number of sports. More important, I think, is the obvious impact (based on the posts I read here) on the students that had the pleasure of being in his classroom. He will not soon be forgotten, and it was my pleasure to have known him and competed with him.

He was my 7th grade English teacher when he was in Rappahannock. He always expected the best from everyone, and his style was very relaxed. Always enjoyed his classes as a young person. Sending prayers and love to his family and friends. Yes, he will be miss

I remember Mr. Touhey from Ressie Jeffries, and if my memory is correct, he always had a bag of Gibble's potato chips in his briefcase; every time I get a bag, I think of that. He was an excellent teacher and filled us with memories that will never be forgotten, my deepest condolences to the Touhey family.

Roger was 10 years older than me, so we really didn't hang out like some of my other cousins, but he was always around at family gatherings for holidays and special occasions. I always thought he was so well mannered and well dressed. A first class gentleman. Rest in peace cuz. Tell your mom and dad I love and miss them.
