Ruthelaine Palmer Obituary

Ruthelaine Palmer, age 66, of Front Royal, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at University Medical Center, Charlottesville, Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Vineyard officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Palmer was born in Arlington, Virginia on July 22, 1944, a daughter of the late Arthur McCroskey and Thelma Vaught McCroskey.

Ms. Palmer is survived by her life partner of 19 years, David G. (Buddy) Peacoe; her sons, Arthur W. Runion, Richard L. Runion, both of Front Royal; her daughters, Linda Jaramillo of Stafford, Virginia, Brenda Snell of Lumberton, Texas, Cheryl Black of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Donna Young of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Mrs. Palmer is also survived and loved by Buddy's children, Gary Peacoe, Kevin Peacoe and Brian Peacoe, all of North Carolina, and Tammy Peacoe of Charlottesville, Virginia; her sister, Shirley L. Fox and husband Robert of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; 29 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie R. Runion, Jr.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Ruth Palmer/ Ronnie's Warriors to American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
