Shirley Savage Obituary

Shirley Ann Sanders Savage, 86, of Castleton passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Jackson House. She was born February 2, 1939 to the late Roy and Mae Sanders in Dallas, TX.

In September 1956, she met the love of her life, Lindsey D. Savage. They were married on February 20, 1957, and remained devoted to one another until his passing in July 2020. Together, they evangelized as ministers of the Gospel across the United States, conducted tent revivals, preaching camp meetings, and served in missionary work in Mexico, Panama, the San Blas Islands, and the Philippines. Over the years, they pastored six churches.

In 1981, they founded Massanova Christian Academy, where Sister Savage faithfully served for 30 years. During their time pastoring Massanova Pentecostal Church, she also ministered in nursing homes, organized the annual Mother-Daughter Banquet for 25 years, and spoke at numerous ladies' retreats across the country.

In 1994, she began writing, publishing, and authoring ten books and several CDs. She also produced gospel tracts and children's coloring books in Spanish with over one million copies being freely distributed to missionaries around the world.

Shirley & her husband traveled to 6 countries during the 9 group Holy Land tours that Bro. Savage coordinated and hosted. Shirley was a devoted wife, minister, teacher, and servant of God. Her heart for people, her faithfulness to the call of God, and her unwavering love for all left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
