Tommy Obed Kibler

Tommy Obed Kibler, 60, of Woodstock, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at his home. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Pastor George Bowers will officiate.

Mr. Kibler was born January 28, 1965, in Baltimore, MD., son of the late Shirley David Kibler and Margaret Virginia Sherman Kibler. He was formerly employed with Lantz Construction and Ervins Construction. He was a member of Antioch Church in Woodstock, Assistant Open Sheep Superintendent for the Shenandoah County Fair and member of Woodstock Moose Lodge #575.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Patty Lynn Wilkins Kibler whom he married on August 30, 1987; daughter, Casey Lynn Gochenour and Bryant of Woodstock; son, Eric William Kibler and Melanie of Woodstock; grandchildren, Harper Lynn Gochenour, Lincoln Edwin Gochenour, Luther Odin Gochenour, Macie Virginia Kibler and Benjamin Obed Kibler; two sisters, Kathy Strickler of Inwood, WV, and Julie Reedy and Jimmy of Woodstock; five brothers, Harry Gene Kibler and Jenny of Woodstock, Leonard Kibler of Woodstock, Charles Kibler and Carrie of Mt. Jackson, Robert Kibler and Cindy of Woodstock and Robin Kibler and Sandy of Woodstock; sister-in-law, Delores Kibler; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Kibler and Ronald Kibler and Brenda.

Tommy was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed sheep farming and spending time with his grandchildren.
