Billy Arrant Obituary
He was born on July 24, 1942, in Bay Minette, Ala., to John and Willie Sowell Arrant. Mr. Arrant was Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving his country in the U.S. Army. He retired with Monsanto in Pensacola, Fla., and with Degussa Chemical Corp. in Theodore, Ala.
Mr. Arrant was preceded by his parents; and one sister, Joy Andrews. Mr. Arrant is survived by one sister, Shelby J. Arrant of Cantonment, Fla.; his two brothers, Charles L. Arrant and wife Rhonda of Cantonment, and Donald M. Arrant and wife Glenda of Gaskin, Fla.; three nieces, Sherry Burgess, Sandra Baltzley and Adrienne Huestis; and seven nephews, Johnny Andrews, David Andrews, Bobby Andrews, Chad Arrant, Norton Arrant, Donald Mike Arrant and Billy Jenkins.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Leonia, Fla. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Dale Paul officiating.
Those who will serve as pallbearers are Chad Arrant, Norton Arrant, Greg Burgess, Joe Alberson, John Knopes and Eddie Alberson. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Leonia in Holmes County, Fla.
Flowers are being accepted, or donations may be sent to Covenant Hospice, 10075 Hillview Road, Pensacola, FL 32514.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Covenant Hospice and the 3rd Floor medical staff at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for their loving care during Billy's illness.

To the Arrant family, I had the privilege of working with Billy back in the Kay-Fries days here in Alabama. He was a hard worker and a straight up man. We, who knew and worked with him here, honor his memory.
