Clifford Larson Obituary

After a three and a half year battle with cancer, Clifford Floyd Larson went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 25, 2015.
Clifford, son of Eunice and the late Floyd Larson, was born in Holden, Massachusetts, in 1960. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Wanda L. (Perry) Larson. He leaves his four children and their spouses: Christina and Will Campbell of San Angelo, Texas; Nicholas and Ashton Larson of Killeen, Texas; Addison and Alyssa Beth Larson of Crestview, Florida; and Nelson and Katy Larson also of Crestview. His eight grandchildren are Olivia and Emma Campbell, Violet, Elias, and Ruby Larson, and Levin, Ramona, and Erik Larson. Several unborn grandchildren wait for him in heaven. He also leaves three siblings in Massachusetts, Donald Larson of West Boylston, Steven Larson of Worcester and Susan Jacobsen of Holden.
Cliff most recently owned and operated Larson & Sons Floor Company, a business that two of his sons continue. He was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and pastored churches both in Florida and in Massachusetts. Church and family were important aspects of Cliff's life. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. If there was something someone needed and Cliff didn't have it, he would go buy it just to bless that person. He believed that "Love is a verb" and lived it. He served the Lord in so many ways.
The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at Valparaiso Assembly of God Church in Valparaiso, Florida, with the funeral following at 11 a.m. There will also be a memorial service at Holden Chapel in Holden, Massachusetts, on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Cliff's family requests contributions may be made to: Compassionate Furlough Lodging (CFL), c/o West Florida District of the Assemblies of God, 4792 US-90, Marianna, FL 32446. This ministry is dedicated to providing a "home" for itinerating missionaries as they prepare to spread the Gospel in other lands.
You may express condolences to the family and sign the guestbook at www.heritagegardensfuneralhome.com. Heritage Gardens Funeral Home of Niceville is entrusted with the arrangements.

I knew Cliff Larson from about the time that I was thirteen years old. From his youth, his life was focused on the things of Christ. He joined the United States Air Force and I joined the Air Force shortly after him. He not only served his God faithfully, but he also served his country honorably. There was a central theme, a great truth that ran from the beginning of his life to the end of his time here on earth; it is the story of love, of compassion, and of kindness. His life was the retelling of the story of Christ. Cliff Larson's life was like a compass that always pointed North, but instead of pointing North, Cliff's life and faith always pointed to God. If you knew Clifford Larson, then you knew God, because Cliff's life reflected all of the things of Christ. Every thing that was good, every thing that was holy, everything that truly mattered in life, Cliff blessed others with, because his life was so abundantly filled with those things. Although we are all saddened by our loss: Death has no victory, it has no sting, But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Cliff came into our lives when we needed him most. He was a pastor in the truest sense of the word, shepherding my wayward son through his life storms. He was the father my son didnt have.
I can still see him, as he turned around one last time to wave goodbye, as you all rushed to catch that cruise boat in Seattle!

Pastor Cliff Larson was a wonderfully talented man who was a blessing every where he went. He was truly a servant of the LORD. His Godly legacy will live on in his precious family for generations. We will miss him dearly... until we meet again in eternity!
