James (Jim) Charles Breitenfeld
Miramar Beach - James (Jim) Charles Breitenfeld, aged 72, of Miramar Beach, Florida passed away on February 11, 2021. Jim was born on March 12, 1948 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Herbert and Irene Breitenfeld.
He proudly graduated from the University of Connecticut. Jim then married his childhood sweetheart Gail Lynn Breitenfeld on June 14, 1969. Over the course of over 50 years in marriage, they have resided all along the East Coast of the Unites States from Manchester, Connecticut to Seminole, Florida and many wonderful places in between.
Jim is survived by his wife, Gail; his son, Keir Breitenfeld and his wife, Priscilla Fowler, and daughter, Harper; his daughter, Brandy Breitenfeld and her children, Hawke and Shayna, and their father, Rick Yohe; and his, brother Mark Breitenfeld.
A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, coach, and mentor, Jim will be eternally missed by family, friends, and colleagues. He will be remembered by all for his quick and sharp humor, love of all things New England and Tampa Bay sports, dedication to family, community involvement, and economic development successes with specific focus on the support of military bases and their personnel. Above all, he was always willing to help those in need, and in any and every way possible.
Jim will be interred at Destin Memorial Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at a forthcoming date in Northwest Florida. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your charity of choice.
