Robert Comander Obituary

Mr.Robert M. Comander, age 74 of Mary Esther, Florida died on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Fort Walton Beach. He was born in Pensacola, Florida to Henry Mercer Comander and Ada Lee Whitehead Comander on June 8, 1944. He graduated from Walton High School in 1962. He had a degree in music from Troy University and a degree in mortuary science from Miami Dade University. Mr. Comander owned and operated Comander Funeral Home for many years before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Theodora Ciudad-Real, two daughters, Robin Noel Comander Shaw and husband Ron of DeFuniak Springs and Heather Lynn Comander Rast and husband Scott of Vinton, Iowa and a sister, Barbara Sue Comander of Brewton, Al. Nine grandchildren, Matthew and Julia Wilson, Sierra, Hayden and Sawyer Rast, Milan and Sienna Ciudad-Real, and Zayd and Tehya Champion also survive.
Memorials may be made in Robert M. Comander's memory to ASPCA, 414 El Destinado Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32312. A time of visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 22 from 5 to 7 PM in Jerry Evans Chapel. Private family services will be held at a later date.
