William Biddle Obituary

William "Grunt" Biddle XIV, age 66, of Crestview, Fla., passed away March 17, 2015. He was born March 13, 1949, to the late Joy Baker and William G. Biddle XIII. He graduated Yamato High School in Japan in 1967. He then joined the United State Marine Corps and became a decorated combat Marine, earning two Purple Hearts during two tours in Vietnam as a communications center man. After Vietnam, he was a United States Marine Corps Security Guard, earned a Bachelor Degree in Theology and became an ordained minister. He also attended and graduated the Harley-Davidson School of Mechanics. Grunt enjoyed Harley-Davidsons, fishing, collecting guns and swords, horticulture and spoiling his feathered friends. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and Abate, and an avid surfer. But, most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Grunt is survived by his wife of 15 years, Karen Sue Biddle (Booger Butt); sons, Travis Henninger and his wife, Amber, Bobby Brumbaugh and Justin Biddle; daughters, Heather Henninger-Smith and her husband, Jason, Jody Tussey, Tracy Brumbaugh and Amber Olsen; a brother, John Waller; a sister, Lani Wolfe; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and the feathered members of his family, Phoebe, Rosie, Mr. T, Zoe and Pineapple.
Friends are invited to celebrate Grunt's life with his family at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. Please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview. Guest book and condolences are available online at www.whitehurstpowellfuneralhome.com.
