Andrew Harding Obituary

Andrew Emery Harding
Born: May 13, 1964
Died: May 7, 2023
Andrew Emery Harding, 58, of Woodstock, passed away on May 7, 2023. He was born on May 13, 1964. He was the son of Thomas and Anne (Emery) Harding. In 1989, Andy married Jocelyn Streveler and they went on to have three children, Kelsey, Parker, and Signe.
Andy attended St. Mary's grade school and later Marmion Military Academy. Andy's twin brother, Steve, went on to Marian Central. This was to separate the Harding twins and their mischievous tendencies. Andy went on to attend St. Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana and then Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. After college, Andrew returned to Woodstock and began working for Gavers Excavating before changing careers to join the family real estate business at Harding Real Estate. He later joined Woodstock Fire Rescue and worked as a firefighter and paramedic for over 25 years. Most recently, Andy worked for Behrens Trucking. Andy enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and summer vacations up north. He was always supportive of another dog joining the family. The stories of his childhood with his beloved twin brother, golden child younger brother, and other family and friends kept us all entertained and highlighted his fun-loving and jokester personality. Andy's proudest title was "Duck" as he was referred to by his grandchildren. He loved being with them was always up for an adventure.
Andy is survived by his wife, Jocelyn. He is also survived by his children, Kelsey (Cody) O'Neill, Parker (Brooke Mathieu) Harding, and Signe Harding; his grandchildren Emersyn and Lincoln O'Neill; brother Brad (Tricia) Harding; sister Tracy Harding; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Anne; his twin brother, Steve "Rico"; close family friend, Deb Brady Hansen; father-in-law, Norm Streveler; and many other dear family members.
Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2023, from 11am to 1pm at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin-Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N Seminary Avenue, Woodstock. A funeral mass will be offered on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:30pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Avenue, Woodstock. Interment will be private.
