Beverly Bourke Obituary
Beverly Ann Bourke, age 81, went to be with our Lord on July 24, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1943, in Belvidere, IL, to Bernhard and Margaret (née Benton, Stock) Uden.
She attended Marengo Schools, graduating from MCHS in 1961. In 1963, she married Andrew J. Bourke, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Woodstock Moose and enjoyed reading, bingo, and helping people.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Kathy) Bourke, Venice, FL and Brian Bourke, California, grandsons, Andres (Sara), Anthony (Amanda), Nicholas, Joseph, and Patrick, six great-grandchildren and one due in September. Also survived by her sister Barbara (Dennis) Koplin, brothers Robert Uden, Kenneth Uden and Donald (Melinda) Stock, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Uden, and infant son Michael.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 30, 2025, at the Church. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church – Marengo, IL.

During the lock down of churches in Marengo First Baptist only remained closed for a short while. Bev and Barb came to our church to worship. We were so blessed to have them both. People stopped by their pew to chat before service because they were so much fun to talk to. For years I remember seeing Bev around Marengo but it was only when she came to First Baptist that we got to know her. We will miss Bev more than she will ever know. Our hearts go out to Barb and all the family.

We are broken hearted at the loss of Bev. She was a a valued and beloved member of our Restore family. Over the many years she volunteered she generously gave her time and heart to our mission. Our store as well as all the customers she touched will miss her so very much as we felt she was truly a member of our family. Bev spoke of her own family so often we feel like we know you all. Our heartfelt condolences are with you.

It was such a a pleasure to help Bev for many years. She always talked about her family who she loved very much. She was always helping others and doing little things ie: she'd go to the food pantry and always got a can of salmon or tuna for my cats. She'd say " I got your babies a treat".
