Died: April 8, 2015; in Woodstock, IL
Clifford A. Gordon, age 79, of Marengo, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at the Centegra Hospital in Woodstock. He was born on December 5, 1935, in Niles Center, IL the son of Clifford E. and Ruth A. (Butow) Gordon.
Cliff was united in marriage on July 30, 1956, to the former Miss Ruth M. Spaak, and they spent the next 58 happy years together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Gordon of Marengo, IL; his children, Sandra Stone of Yorkville, IL, Darlene (John) Nall of Machesney Park, IL, Ronald (Paula) Gordon of McHenry, IL, Steven (Ronda) Gordon of Zion, IL and Donald Gordon of Marengo, IL; his nine grandchildren; his seven great-grandchildren; his five brothers, Roy (Geri) Gordon of Loves Park, IL, Duane (Jan) Gordon of Pueblo, CO, Kenneth (Patricia) Gordon of Cary, IL, Philip Gordon of Cary, IL and William (Anita) Gordon Marengo, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ruth Gordon; his son-in-law, Kenneth Stone; his sister, Marie Gordon; and brother, Richard Gordon.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Michael Neel, officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.
