Danielle Gibson Obituary
Born: April 10, 1939; In Melrose Park, IL
Died: June 26, 2014; In Spring Grove, IL
Danielle "Dani" M. Gibson, of Wonder Lake and formerly of Cicero, IL passed away peacefully Thursday June 26, 2014, at home with her family by her side.
Dani spent many years with her late long time companion Alexander "Bobby" McConachie before she relocated to Johnsburg in 1986, where she worked for her late Uncle Ray at The Johnsburg Tavern followed by Hettermanns Tavern till 1994. Dani then owned and operated The Grand Old Mill Restaurant in Wonder Lake where she passionately made a difference in so many peoples lives with her generosity, expertise in the kitchen and fun loving personality behind the bar.
Dani will be deeply missed by her loving family Dean, Joy, Lauren, Dana and Rick Pries along with many great friends.
Dani is survived by, her brother James (Helen) Gibson, sisters Dolores (David) Lowell, Diana Schmidt and Judy Karafa.
Preceded in death by her parents Dan and Marie Gibson, brother Rick Gibson and sister Bonnie Gibson.
In keeping with the wishes of Danielle Gibson there will be no funeral services.

So sorry to see anyone go. My wife and I ate at the Mill Inn many times over the years and always enjoyed it. It's closed now, but saw some activity around it today and decided to look into it. May your memories of Danielle providing good times to so many be good to you.

We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Dani. She was a phenomenal lady who possessed excellent culinary skills; her soups were my favorite! We will miss her visits at the table, her special dessert treats and especially her quick wit!!
