Darlene departed her loving family on September 15, 2024. She was born September 6, 1941, to John and Charlotte Dvorak of Downers Grove, IL.
Darlene was the mother to her only child, Michael William Jordan. She loved and raised Mike with his late father in Cary, IL.
Darlene enjoyed her work as the bookkeeper for Cox Family Holdings at the time of her passing. She is fondly known for her baking, floral arrangements, decorating skills, and thrift shopping. She enjoyed her time as the Executive Director of the Lakeside Center as well as owner of All American Sports. Darlene was a determined woman with many talents. Her hobbies included watching old movies, interior decorating and enjoying going out with friends.
Darlene is survived by her son Michael (Trina) Jordan and grandchildren Alicia and Jackson. She was loved by her nephew John (Connie) Dvorak, niece Wendy (Ken) Spence, grandnieces Emily Mrazek-Jones, Molly (Bevan) Cammell, Abby (Tyler) Phillips, Hillary (Tannor) Odum and Madalynn Martha Spence as well as their children Wes (7), Elliot (4) and Louella (16 months).
Aside from her family, Darlene enjoyed her friends, coworkers but especially Faith and Bob Bierman.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at The Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake, on Thursday November 7th, 2024, from 4pm-7pm, the memorial service will begin at 5pm. Darlene will be laid to rest in a graveside service at Clarendon Hills Cemetery on Friday November 8th, 2024, at 11am

Where have all the years gone? The year was 1953 & I bought my first tropical fish tank from Uncle John & Aunt Char !@ Ogden Ave. Feed. Darlene & Judy were our cousins & their Mom & Dad owned a "small zoo". WOW!! I was always in awe of the natural beauty Darlene displayed. As a woman, she was polished. I will always remember Darlene attending my mother Anne's 90th birthday @ Arlington race track. THANK HEAVENS for the Memories!! They will lift our spirits. Gerry & Jinny Szymski
