Deb was my preceptor at NIMC over 11 years ago, and one of those iconic nursing figures that one never forgets. She loved her patients and took pride in her nursing. She loved to laugh and sure "told it like it is." May her memory live on in all of the lives she touched.

Your mom was a great friend to me. She was my preceptor 22 yrs ago in Tele at NIMC and we were friends ever since. We have so many good memories. She was a wonderful nurse, mother and friend and Carl and I will miss her terribly. She is at peace now and with her mother. She love all of you with all her heart. You were all her life. Please let me know if we can do anything. You all are in our hearts and prayers. God Bless! May you rest in peace Deb, a peace you richly deserve. You worked so hard all your life. We are so glad you were a part of our life.

We will miss hearing the music during the warm weather. Seeing all the grandchildren playing and of course seeing Molly and Louie on a regular basis. Debbie was a good neighbor and a loving grandmother. Our talks over the fence will definitely be remembered. She was very good to Erika and Erika will definitely remember her times with Debbie and Ashley. Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.

Just wanted you to know as I am sure you do, what a wonderful mother you had. She touched the lives of so many people, she was a great nurse who took that extra time to fluff a pillow, give a backrub, or just sit and talk with her patients. She taught me so many things about what it means to be a "nurse." I was lucky to have known her and will always have great memories. Gail M. Albers

Dear Stokes Family,
I worked with your mom (and grandma) at NIMC. I always enjoyed working with Deb as I knew that day would go smoothly. She was a great nurse to spend our shifts with, we had many laughs and a lot of fun.
Take comfort in knowing what a wonderful person Deb was and how blessed you are to have her as your mom, and grandma.
May God comfort you in this time of sorrow.
