Gerald L. Hinderlider, 88, of Woodstock, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025.
He was born on November 18, 1936, in Chicago to Roy and Gertrude (Fischer) Hinderlider. Gerald attended Lane Tech High School, McHenry County Community College, and DePaul University.
Gerald served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, including a tour in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 and 14 years stationed in Germany. After his military service, he worked at Citicorp until retirement.
While in Germany, he met his wife, Agnes, and they shared many years together before her passing on January 10, 2014.
Gerald is survived by his sons, William (the late Lori) Hinderlider, Michael (Karen) Hinderlider, and Larry Hinderlider; his grandchildren, Marcus (Brittany) Hinderlider, Jill (Charlie) Sietmann, Michael (Melissa) Hinderlider, and Kristin (Patrick) McGrath; and his great-grandchildren, Lorin Sietmann, Aubrey Hinderlider, Emma Hinderlider, Mallori Hinderlider, Parker McGrath, Wade Hinderlider, and Emerson McGrath.
A private service will be held.
