Gloria Michalczyk, age 94, of Hebron, IL, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 peacefully, at Northwestern McHenry Hospital in McHenry, IL
She was born in Chicago, IL on May 22, 1931, a daughter of the late Jean (Kwacala) and Joseph Sersen.
She was married to Frank Michalczyk Sr. on Sept. 1, 1951, in Chicago and he died Oct. 26, 2007.
She was a custodian at East Campus High School in McHenry, IL, for many years.
Gloria is survived by a daughter, Peggy Ohrwall, of Oswego, IL; a son, Frank Michalczyk Jr.of Hebron, IL; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister Geri (the late David) Lowe, of Choctaw, OK. She was preceded by a brother Leonard Kwacala.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct 2, 2025 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St in Richmond. Mass of Resurrection at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Richmond, IL, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Richmond, IL at a later date.
