Hazel Schwemm Obituary

CARY – Hazel M. Schwemm, 89, of Cary and formerly of Barrington, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at Pepper Family Hospice unit in Barrington.
She was born July 25, 1921, in Cary, to Albert and Lena Ritt.
She was a graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School and retired after 29 years from Jewel Tea in Barrington.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Schwemm, whom she married Jan. 26, 1946, in Barrington; her sister, Ruth Steckelberg; her nieces and nephews, Jack (Judy) Ritt, Barbara (Duane) Stiner, Raymond Ritt, Frank (Cindy) Steckelberg, Bob Steckelberg, Kimberly (Bob) Martin and James Ritt; and her dear friend, Beulah Horn.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Ritt and James Ritt; a sister, Ona Ritt; and a nephew, Scott Ritt.
The visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 First St., Cary. Burial will be in Algonquin Cemetery.
Memorials would be appreciated to Cary United Methodist Church.
