Died: February 25, 2022 in Huntley, IL
Homer Goforth Homer, Jr., 82, of Huntley, died peacefully, February 25, 2022, at his home with his wife by his side.
Funeral arrangements will be held later.
Homer was born August 22, 1939, in Lawton, Oklahoma the son of Homer and Lucille Homer. On November 10, 1982, he married Carole A. Paruolo. He worked in Chemical Sales. He was proud of his Choctaw Chickasaw American Indian Heritage. He was an avid golfer and played basketball and tennis. He was an active true Oklahoma Spooner fan and attended many of the orange bowls when they participated. He was a good judge of character and could read people as soon as he met them. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Carole, his children Lori (John) D'Aanza, Anthony (Lani Vanta) Gioa, by his three grandchildren, Brianna, Ellie, and Gina, by his two sisters, Fannae Shields, Mary Ahtone and by his brother, Dr. Jerald Ahatone and by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his son, Homer Homer, III and by his brother, Sam.
