Jinny Samuelson, 84, of Marengo, IL and Astor, FL, passed away on Dec. 14, 2024 in Barrington, IL. She was born June 16, 1940 in Elgin, IL, daughter of Harold & Adeline (Schinske) Kunde. She graduated with the 1958 Class of Huntley High School. She married David L. Samuelson on March, 1960 in Woodstock, IL. Jinny was employed by Arnold Engineering before starting her family. After raising her children, Jinny drove school buses for Marengo Community High School and was a member of the Marengo Park Board. For many years Jinny was an avid bowler who enjoyed the leagues with her mother, sisters, and close friends. Jinny was involved in harness racing with her husband Dave, and they spent their winters together in Astor, FL. Jinny loved spending time with her siblings, children and especially her grandchildren. She cherished watching her children and grandchildren in all their sports endeavors. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David; children Eve Chaberski, Lane Samuelson & Cole (Candy) Samuelson; grandchildren Devon Chaberski, Clay (Katherin) Chaberski, Reese Samuelson & Ryder Samuelson; sisters Peggy Sue (Lanny) Brasile & Brenda Wells; and many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert; sisters Patricia Johnson & Diane Kunde; and brother-in-law Chuck Wells. Services will be private. The family requests no flowers.
